This Spring, Juvedem launched the latest addition to their range of facial fillers. Juvederm Volux has been specially formulated to help shape the chin and and jaw area, giving facial definition that can last for up to 18-24 months.
We have been seeing a significant increase in the number of patients asking for change in their lower face shape. New Juvederm Volux, a structural gel, now provides a treatment option for those who want to sculp the chin and jawline areas. This treatment is popular with both male and female patients.
Juvederm Volux is a thicker dermal filler product that was created for use in the chin and jawline in order to improve the appearance of concerns like volume loss that can come with age. It is made up of hyaluronic acid, a sugar that occurs naturally in the human body. This sugar is synthesised for specific use in aesthetic treatments, as it attracts and retains as much as one thousand times its weight in water in order to give a volumising effect.
When used in the lower face, it can significantly improve the appearance of the jawline, in order to reintroduce lost volume or to add this volume in those who did not have it. As trends lean towards defined jawlines, Juvederm Volux is the latest and most efficient product in creating this look, yielding significant results in just one short treatment. At REclinic we are exceptionally skilled in balancing the profile using dermal fillers, and this new product has added another dimension to jawline treatments for future patients.
A weak chin or recessive, jaw can affect anyone, and though it can cause problems related to speaking and eating, it is more likely to just shake self-confidence or increase self-consciousness. A strong jawline as an attractive feature in both men and women and dermal filler treatment allows us treat this condition with a very effective non-surgical approach.
No treatment is completely pain-free and injections can cause discomfort. There are many ways of minimising the discomfort:
Due to the nature of the dermal filler, results are noticeable immediately following treatment, however these can take a few days to settle into their optimal effect. Some swelling and bruising is expected. Chin and jawline area are particularly prone to swelling and bruising which can last for one or two weeks which can be controlled by taking anti-histamines.
It is advisable not to schedule any important events straight after treatment. Optimal results can be seen from 3-4 weeks post treatment.
It is advisable to avoid taking Ibuprofen, Aspirin and consuming alcohol a day before your treatment. If you are prone to bruising, you may wish to use Arnica or Bromelain.
You should also avoid strenuous exercise straight before and after your treatment. Despite the fact that we are trying our best to avoid brusing it is sometimes inevitable and you need to expect some.
