How Profhilo works
By being injected into the skin via 5 key points on the face, the runny substance will spread throughout the lower surface of the skin, meaning your whole face gets treated.
Once the treatment is settled into the skin, the solution works to increase moisture and hydration in the skin, giving you a fresher, smoother look.
When the production of collagen and elastin is stimulated, your skin, over time, will become plumper and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles will be reduced.
As the treatment only consists of five injections on each side of the face, the procedure can take less than 10 minutes to perform!. Although local anaesthetic is not required, it is on offer for any patients who would prefer it. This treatment is ideal for those who require minimal downtime. The only major side effect of this treatment can be swelling and this will reduce after the liquid has dispersed properly throughout the face (usually around 12 hours), so you will be back to your beautiful self in no time.
What results you can expect?
Some of our clients see improvement from 1-2 days post-treatment, however, it can take up to 4 weeks to see more of a change in your skin. By 8-10 weeks you will see the more hydrated, firmer and younger-looking skin that our treatments can offer. A thorough consultation with Dr Martina will establish a more precise course of action, though we usually recommend two treatments delivered one month apart every six months to maintain your glowing results.
